Digital Photography

Digital Photography is a course designed for students interested in learning current digital photographic techniques and technology. Students will learn how to operate a digital SLR camera and compose shots using professional photographic principles, as well as understand the operations, tools, and creative effects specific to digital photography. Students will also learn to apply their knowledge of photography as they learn to create projects for print and the Internet using Adobe Photoshop CS2.

The second year study in Digital Photography will afford students the opportunity to participate in a project-based study. Career Center, high school and community projects will be accepted and students will have numerous hands-on opportunities to photograph people, objects and landscapes to successfully complete the projects at hand. Video photographic portfolios will also be created in the second-year study.
