The Key To A Successful Future
The Manufacturing and Processing industry involves planning, managing and performing the processing of materials into intermediate or final products. It also includes the related professional and technical support activities such as product design, production planning, general maintenance, and manufacturing & process engineering.

The manufacturing and processing industry is ever changing. New employees in this field will possess the ability to use computers, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Fourteen of the Twenty “HOT JOBS” in Indiana are related to the Manufacturing and Processing industry.

Students at the Kokomo Area Career Center have the opportunity to get an early start in the Manufacturing and Processing career field. Students are able to train on industry-standard equipment and methods while still in high school.

Students will gain hands-on experience in real-world situations during their training at the Kokomo Area Career Center. They will also see the correlation among their math, science, and technology classes in relation to what will be expected of them in the work force.
