Mar. 22HSR Finals @ IWUTBA Kokomo boys’ track and field team competed at the Hoosier State Relays. 
Jeremy Breedlove, Jordan Fivecoate, Jayden Whitehead, and Ethan Sharp qualified for 
the big (5A-6A) school indoor state championship. Breedlove earned all-state honors by placing 6th  in 3200-meter run with a season best time of 9:26.34. Jeremy also anchored our distance medley relay team of Fivecoate, Whitehead, and Sharp, which finished 20th with a time of 11:17.56. 
The runners who did not run in the HSR meet ran the first outdoor track and field meet 
in the state of Indiana this season against Ben Davis. It was nice night with warm 
weather and some good performances. It is a nice meet because some of our kids have 
not had a chance to compete yet and it was good competition. Ben Davis won the big 
school HSR title. If you want to be the best, you must run the best. No team score was

Jeremy Breedlove was voted the Outstanding Meet Performer for his first place finishes in the 1600 Meter event with a record-setting time of 4:22.40 and the 3200 Meter run with a time of 10:05.26. Jeremy Breedlove was awarded the coveted Walter Cross Award which is given to the most outstanding boy and girl athletes.
May 9North Central Conference @ IWUTBA Kokomo won the NCC meet for the fourth time Friday night.  The Kats finished with 129 points followed by Marion, 106, Muncie Central, 104, Huntington North, 89, Anderson, 75, Richmond, 63, Logansport, 56.

Coach Byrnes was selected as NCC Coach of the Year in boys track at this meet.

5:00 Kokomo finished 2nd in the sectional.

The Kokomo boys’ track and field team finished second in the sectional championship last night.
Western was the winner with 129 points followed by Kokomo, 105, Northwestern, 78,
Maconaquah, 59, Eastern, 56, Lewis Cass, 49, Logansport, 46, Tipton, 41, Pioneer, 36, Peru, 10,
Madison-Grant, 10 and Taylor, 3.

6:00 Jeremy Breedlove finished as a double winner. Jeremy won the 1600 Run and the 3200 Run.  He will advance to the state finals next Saturday. Avery Barrett will also be competing at the state competition.
June 7State Finals @ IUTBA Jeremy Breedlove took 4th place in the 1,600 Run with a time of 4:15.79.  Avery Barrett tied for 16th in the pole vault, clearing 14-0.  Congratulations, Jeremy and Avery!
