Welcome To Boulevard

PawPrint B oulevard STEM Elementary School is committed to excellence, which starts with a partnership between home and school. The staff combines the best practices of a traditional school with the benefits of new technologies based around a structured learning environment and a foundation of fundamental and higher-level thinking skills for students. The school provides high-quality instruction in core subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Students have use of laptops for individual classroom use, and computer-assisted mounted projectors.

A balanced literacy curriculum which utilizes multiple reading initiatives including Read to Self, Read to Someone, Listening to Reading, and Working with Words is utilized in the classrooms. Boulevard has seen great success with this curriculum approach.

We have been recognized as an A School based on the Indiana State Department of Education’s grading of schools the past three years.  In fact, our ISTEP scores in this area are higher than the state average. Boulevard also has been recognized as a Top Gainer School the past four years by the Indiana Student Achievement Institute (InSAI). This recognition is for showing significant academic growth each year.

The students’ experiences are enhanced by teaching solid curriculum in math and science. The staff at Boulevard work collaboratively to develop project-based learning opportunities. We recognize that children love to do experiments, learn facts, and relate what they learn to their everyday world. A new science lab will assist in making science come alive for students and provide an opportunity to make connections among their grade level objectives in an effort to prepare them to become 21stcentury learners.
