eLearning FAQ for Parents

  • How can I contact my child’s teacher?

    Email will be your best option for contacting your child’s teacher.  We have listed building principal email addresses under the Kokomo Families tab on our homepage. Click on eLearning, then eLearning for Families.  The first thing listed is “How to Contact Teachers.”  Several options for contacting the teacher are listed.


  • How do I help my child turn in their assignments?

    Each teacher will provide a method of turning in assignments for their students.  If you have questions or are having difficulties, please contact the teacher for assistance or an alternate way of submitting assignments.


  • What do I do if I am unable to help my child with an assignment? 

    Your child’s teacher is available to help to help them during school hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the scheduled eLearning weeks.  Please contact your child’s teacher to set up a time to get small group or one-on-one help for your child.


  • How do I get help for my child if they are unable to get their school issued laptop to work at home?

     We are currently under a shelter and stay order from Governor Holcomb and all buildings are closed. We are unable to provide a loaner replacement until this order is lifted.   If your child’s laptop is not working, please email this address:  We will contact you to set up an appointment to remote into the laptop to attempt a virtual repair or a time to pick up a replacement device when the shelter and stay order is lifted.


  • How can I download a pdf emailed by a teacher on my cell phone?

  • How do I get help for my child if they have an IEP or 504 Plan? 

    For eLearning assistance for a child with an IEP or 504 Plan, please email:


  • Where can I get technical support in the use of Canvas or Google Classroom?

    For technical support with our learning management systems (Canvas for 6-12 and Google Classroom for PK-5) please email:  A technology department employee will contact you to work on any issue you may be having.


  • What if my child is sick on an eLearning day?

    If you child is sick on an eLearning day, please contact your child’s teacher to let them know.  Students will be given additional time to complete assignments if they are sick during eLearning.


  • What if we do not have internet available in our home?

       You have several options if you do not have internet available at home.
       Comcast Xfinity and AT&T are offering two months of free internet for low
       income families.  Please click on the following links for more detailed

       In addition, both learning management systems, Canvas and Google Classroom,
      can be accessed on an iOS or Android phone or tablet.  Download the app for the
      learning management system used by your child’s teacher onto your phone to
      access eLearning content shared in this manner.
