Dr. Jeff Hauswald served as superintendent for the Kokomo School Corporation from 2010 to 2021. This scholarship is awarded in Dr. Hauswald's name by the Kokomo Schools Education Foundation to honor his support, encouragement, and participation in developing the foundation's ability to provide support for Kokomo High School and the Kokomo Schools in general. Dr. Hauswald believes that "legacy truly does matter" and provided the leadership necessary to leave the school district with a K-12 International Baccalaureate program, international student integration, KHS student and teacher foreign exchange and visitation, an award-winning Advanced Placement Program, and many more creative academic accomplishments. He is a champion for public education and will advocate for its strength and success in the future.
