IB Cultural Experiences

International Schools

The International Schools prepare students for the changing world in which they live. Students at the International Schools experience real-world projects with a global focus. These perse learning opportunities use mathematics, science, writing, history, art, and music. International students have daily instruction in a foreign language while becoming active learners who understand other people and cultures.

The IB Primary Years Program (Grades K-5) focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The most distinctive feature of the elementary program is the six trans-disciplinary themes: Who are we; Where we are in place and time; How we express ourselves; How the world works; How we organize ourselves; and Sharing the planet.

The IB Middle Years Program (Grades 6-10) provides a framework of learning which encourages students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers. This program emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies and to the real world. Any student can apply to magnet schools. Transportation is provided for students residing within Kokomo school boundaries.
