Fall Youth Basketball League

Memorial Gymnasium Basketball Court

Gear Up for the Game: Kokomo Fall Youth Boys Basketball League is Open to All Area Athletes!

Are you ready to see your young athlete build confidence, develop new skills, and make unforgettable memories on the court this season? Registration is opening soon for the Kokomo Schools Fall Youth Boys Basketball League!

Whether a student attends Kokomo Schools or a neighboring area district, we are ready to lace up and run the floor together. This program provides premier training, teamwork, and school spirit for division brackets spanning grades 1–6 (divided into three competitive divisions: 1–2, 3–4, and 5–6). All action takes place right here in Kokomo's premier athletic venues: Memorial Gym and Wildkat Gym.

Athletes participate in one practice session each week and compete in 1–2 games weekly. The season wraps up with a high-energy tournament during the final week! This isn't just about playing a game though—it's about building strong fundamentals and a team-first mindset under the guidance of dedicated coaches, creating habits on the court that stay with students long after the final buzzer sounds.

Leadership on the Court

This league is run by professionals who know what it takes to compete at the next level. The entire program is overseen by Drew Schauss, Kokomo High School Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and Middle School Athletic Director.

Coach Schauss brings years of elite competitive and instructional experience straight to our youth divisions, ensuring every single student learns the right way to play, leads with sportsmanship, and has a blast doing it. Under his direction, our youth program links directly to the same championship culture built at the varsity level.

Around here, basketball isn’t just a sport—it’s a historic tradition. From the iconic, high-energy atmosphere of Memorial Gym to the generations of athletes who have worn the Red and Blue, the legacy of Kokomo basketball runs deep. Our goal is to continue growing this renowned program by welcoming the next generation of area athletes onto the historic hardwood. We are incredibly proud to provide a high-caliber, competitive sports experience right here in our community, giving students direct access to top-tier instruction, structured teamwork, and dynamic play close to home. By bringing together students from across the entire area, we are creating an unforgettable season where every participant shares in the excitement, plays together, and competes on a stage that honors the game.
