Our Kokomo Middle School (KMS) Katfish took to the lanes for the Mid-Indiana Conference (MIC) championship meet, leaving a wake of excitement and some impressive results behind them!

The MIC meet is a valuable opportunity for our swimmers to test their skills against top talent from across the region. It was a great day of racing, and it was even better to see so many middle school Katfish hitting the podium and securing top rankings as they continue to develop their speed and technique in the water. Competing together as the Katfish, our student-athletes showed great Wildkat spirit while representing our Kokomo community.

Beyond the Times

Beyond the times on the scoreboard, the highlight of the meet was watching our middle schoolers support one another. Middle school sports are all about growth, and seeing these athletes from different buildings come together as one team is a big part of that journey.

"It is always a proud moment to see students from across the district compete as one Katfish team," noted Kokomo Middle School Athletic Director Drew Schauss. "These MIC results are exciting, but what’s even better is watching these athletes develop their skills and cheer for their teammates. We are grateful to our coaches and families who help us grow this program every year. It’s a great environment for any student looking to try something new and be part of a team. We can’t wait to see this group grow, as they continue to make waves both in and out of the pool!"

Congratulations to all our Kokomo Middle School Katfish on a strong season and great conference meet!
