For families with students entering preschool through 8th grade, Kokomo Schools offers Magnet programs, including:

Integrated Arts (IA)

What are Magnet programs?

Magnet programs are designed to provide students with a comprehensive education while nurturing their individual talents and interests. We like to think of it as a "MAGNETic" way to learn! Whether your child is drawn to science, music and art, the environment, global learning, or learning at an accelerated pace, Kokomo Schools provides every student with the tools and opportunities to develop their skills.

Entrance to these programs may require a screening (even if the Magnet program for which you are applying is located in your school district boundary). All applicants will be considered. Acceptance is based upon space availability and screening results.

DISTRICT BOUNDARIES & TRANSPORTATION

If you wish to select a school that is outside of your district boundaries, please proceed through these enrollment steps first:

Gathering documentation
Access your parent portal
Complete your enrollment submission

Then, if you would like to request a school outside of your district boundaries, directly contact the school to request a Transfer Request Form. After receiving your completed enrollment submission and your completed Transfer Request Form, our team will review your request, and a school official will contact you.
